My Pocket Concierge ("the App", "we", "us") is operated by BrainUnlock LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers (Apple ID or Google account) when you sign up.
- Plans and preferences — the itineraries you generate, food and activity preferences, dietary restrictions, group size, and saved venues you bookmark.
- Location — approximate city-level location used to suggest relevant venues. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates.
- Usage counts — a monthly plan-generation counter stored under a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address (SHA-256). Retained after account deletion solely to prevent quota abuse via re-registration.
- Crash and performance data — anonymized crash reports and app performance metrics via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.
- Purchase history — subscription status managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To generate personalized itineraries using the Anthropic Claude AI service.
- To sync your plans, preferences, and saved venues across your devices.
- To enforce free-tier plan limits and manage subscription entitlements.
- To send optional plan reminder notifications (only if you grant permission).
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Anthropic — your plan request text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate itinerary suggestions.
- Google (Firebase & Places API) — authentication, database, crash reporting, analytics, and venue search.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement tracking.
- Apple App Store — payment processing for subscriptions.
4. Data Retention
Your plans, preferences, and saved venues are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Crash and analytics data is retained per Google Firebase's standard retention policies.
5. Your Rights (including GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use the "Delete Account" option in the app's Profile screen. For other requests, contact us at privacy@mypocketconcierge.app.
6. Usage Count Retention After Deletion
To prevent re-registration quota abuse, an anonymized usage counter is retained after account deletion. It is stored under a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address — the hash cannot be reversed to identify you, and the record contains no other personal information. Under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), retention of this minimal, non-reversible data is justified by our legitimate interest in preventing service abuse.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
